Colour: Black and White

Hey Lovlies!

One of this season's hottest colour combinations is the classic black and white. A traditional colour combo has been seen everywhere from kaleidoscope prints on dresses to the perfect smokers loafers. These colours are easy to add into any wardrobe and style type, try a mix of the biker jacket for a punk look or add it in a circle skirt for a fun girly look. Play with the prints and the proportions/ locations of the colours.

christian louboutin world

Hey Lovlies!

Happy Friday and Happy first day of summer!

We all love those classic red soled shoes by no one better then Christian Louboutin right? Whether the classic black silhouette or the studded pink ones they are the perfect way to dress up any look.

Today at Holt Renfrew on Bloor Street, Toronto you have the opportunity join Christain Louboutin and his upcoming Pre-Fall collection.

If you can't make it to the that... The Design Exchange in Toronto is having a Christain Louboutin exhibit, where you can check out his collections of designs and learn about his inspiration for his unique heels and styles.

I know I am defiantly going to make my way to the Design Exchange to see first hand some of the creative process and check out some one of a kind pieces of Louboutin. This exhibit is running from June 21 to September 15.

Summer Must Haves: Nail Colours

Hey Lovlies!
Nothing says summer more then some bright hues on your nails to brighten up the day, right? I find that  nail polish is the perfect way to play with seasonal colours without spending a fortune and adding wardrobe pieces that will never get worn again.

Use this nail colour guide to get summers best colours, and see what fun ways you can think of to paint your nails. The bright sea foam green is a must have, as well as chartreuse green for those later summer days! The coral and purple are less subtle brights, and the classic ballerina pink is a staple for every season.

Have fun painting!

The Midi Skirt

This spring and summer try the midi skirt. Perfect for those warm summer days, its an alternative to the classic maxi skirt from previous years. For the taller girls find a skirt that hits mid shin, and for the shorter girls find a skirt that hits just below the knee; these are the most flattering lengths to wear the midi skirt at.
1. Oui Pleated Midi Skirt
2. New Look Lace Crop Top
3. Gap Multi Strap Sandal
4. Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody bag

Don't be afraid to try colour and layer them to create a playful summer look. This rich orange hue is perfect for a warm summer night, paired with a crossbody bag in a complementary hue.

Trying a monochromatic look, this look is workplace appropriate while still being suitable for a night out. This fitted mini is a twist from the a line style, however still great for the upcoming summer. Paired with a chambray shirt it keeps it from being too professional of a look, and the white heeled sandal keeps the eyes on the printed skirt.

If you are going white, don't be afraid to add the colour to this classic colour. The tshirt blouse can be substituted for a graphic tee to create an even more casual look perfect for those busy days of errands! This printed blouse, paired with the pink shoe brings colour to life with the simple white midi. With the long chain necklace adding an extra femminine touch.

Summer Essentials

With Summer just around the corner the perfect piece to add to the closet is a wrap skirt. Ideal for both day and night this versatile dress looks just as cute with flat sandals as it does heels. You can find them in mixed prints, colours and fabrics allowing you to find the perfect skirt.

Spring/Summer footwear

Happy Sunday!
As its starting to warm up, and the days are getting longer we need the perfect footwear to keep us going for the day. These spring trends are straight from the runways for this season.
The perfect work day shoe is a simple twist on the classic ballet flat. Look for flats with a low side to show off more of your pedicured feet! Pointed toes, bright colours and scalloped details are fun styles to try. Adding the slingback like the J.Crew flat ensures your shoes aren't going anywhere as you run for your morning coffee!

The gladiator sandal is a chunky shoe that you can wear for your weekend day trips around the city. Making sure to maximize the amount of buckles is a must, I mean who needs a shoe that is easy to slip on and off! Play with different heel styles; flat, chunky heel or stiletto.

This two strap heel is my favourite look of the season. A shoe that can easily be worn day or night, with pants or dresses, with a chunky heel or stiletto. Keep it simple with a strap across your toes, a closed back and a thin ankle strap. There are so many colours and prints you can look for in these shoes to help chic up your look.

So which shoe are you going to try this spring?

Summer Playlist

Hey everyone!
These songs are on my summer playlist! These are the ones that are great to pump you up when you get ready!
I love this song though it's in french! The Artist is M Pokora and the song is called On est là.
This song is called Stars Come Out (Dillion Francis Remix) by Zedd. I don't tend to listen to this dubstep, beat music, but I really enjoy it!

This song is great! My sister showed me it and it's not as famous as the mainstream music on the radio. The chorus is really catchy! The Artist is GOLDHOUSE and the song is called The Moment.

Olly Murs is one of my favourite artists. He has a mixture of upbeat songs to slow songs. His songs have really nice meanings and the lyrics are really well written. I absolutely love this song. It is one of my favourite songs by him. Its a great song for a rainy day. This song is called This song is about you.
Lakyn Heperi is such a great artist. He is was discovered on The Voice Australia. He does amazing mashups of songs. It's extremely to pick a favourite. I still haven't gotten tired of listening to his music! This  song is the one that had gotten him discovered! It's a mashup of Kids by MGMT and Is this Love by Bob Marley. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. This guy has such greg talent!
The last song that I want to share with you all is by One Direction! I shave supported these guys since they auditioned for X Factor ! These boys are amazing performers and have meaningful songs! I have been to two of their Concerts with Ilona! I love Harry Styles and Ilona loves Louis! All their songs are my favourite but heres one of them! This song is Everything about you
I hope you all like these songs as much as I do! What are your favourite songs right now?

Talk to you all soon!

Beginning of the Summer Haul

I did some shopping this summer and bought some statement clothing pieces!
I bought this Jean shirt from H&M it was $24.95. It is a basic clothing item that I can integrate in my closet easily!
Aritzia is one of my favourite stores! It also helps that it is Canadian! I had bought Bright pink shorts for $32 that are extremely comfortable. I purchased a black zipper bralette bandeau for $20 that I could wear under sheer shirts or with alone with high waisted bottoms. I had bought a Striped long sleeve for $32 as well. This item can be worn with literally anything! All of the items at Aritzia were on sale!

I bought this Coral blazer with purple lining for $80 from Zara. I had first laid my eyes on it while in New York but later bought it back home in Toronto! This blazer will be used as a colour blocking piece or will act as an accent to my outfits.

At Zara i had also purchased a tropical dress for $35. It stands out and is perfect for a night out! I am in love with maxi skirts and thought this black maxi skirts would be worn in all the different seasons! I purchased it for $25. All of the items were on sale!

Until next time!
